Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 2025
Introduction
At Arettox ID ("we", "us", or "our"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Discord verification service. We believe that privacy and security are fundamental rights, not optional features.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal data necessary for our service: (1) Discord User ID and username for role assignment; (2) Discord Server ID for managing verifications; (3) Verification status (verified/not verified); (4) Timestamp of verification. We do NOT collect: real names, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, location data, or biometric information.
World ID and Zero-Knowledge Proofs
Our verification uses World ID's Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) technology. When you verify, World ID confirms you are a unique human without revealing your identity. We receive only a cryptographic signal ("nullifier hash") that confirms uniqueness — we never see, access, or store any biometric data (iris scans, face data, etc.). Your privacy is mathematically guaranteed.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to: (1) Assign verified roles on Discord servers; (2) Prevent duplicate verifications (one person = one account); (3) Maintain service functionality; (4) Respond to support requests. We do NOT use your data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or selling to third parties.
Data Storage and Retention
Verification data is stored securely on encrypted servers. We retain data only as long as necessary: active verification records are kept while you remain verified; upon request, we delete your data within 30 days. Server administrators can remove their server's data at any time.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only: (1) With Discord (as required for bot functionality); (2) When required by law (court orders, legal processes); (3) To protect our rights or prevent fraud. Any data sharing is minimal and necessary.
Your Rights
You have the right to: (1) Access your data — request a copy of what we store; (2) Correct inaccuracies in your data; (3) Delete your data ("right to be forgotten"); (4) Object to processing; (5) Data portability — receive your data in a structured format. To exercise these rights, contact us via our Discord support server.
Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security: encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL); encrypted data storage; access controls and authentication; regular security audits; incident response procedures. While no system is 100% secure, we continuously work to protect your information.
Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
